With just under a months to go the Hawks Netball Club Mighty Hike Team have their training well underway!
We have walked around the whole of Grafham Water, around St Ives and Hemingford, all the way from St Ives to Cambridge (the Yorkshire puddings and roast potatoes were so needed at the end, thank you The Castle Inn Cambridge) and several local walks to get the weekend miles in.
We have some more big training walks planned before the big day on the 20th May when we will be hiking 26 miles up the Norfolk Coast for Mighty Hike for Macmillan it is a fantastic charity that supports so many people, one which is very close to all of our hearts. Thanks to to Propertymark for generously donating our water pouches at the Norfolk Regional Conference, attended on behalf of our club sponsors Cooke Curtis & Co.
We have already had some overwhelming donations which has really spurred us on when we start to feel ever step of those big miles. Times are tough at the moment so any donations to help us reach our fundraising goal for Macmillan Cancer Support are gratefully received.
