After over 3 months of no netball we pleased to announce that Hawks Netball Club is now back in action…of sorts.
From Wednesday 1st July, the club will be running netball-related sessions at HILL RISE PARK, in St Ives. For up to 5 members per session. In line with the government guidance.
The time for these sessions will be 7pm to 7.45pm and/or 8pm to 8.45pm and further information will follow for those wanting to attend.
We won’t be sharing equipment or working in groups. Activities will be solo sessions working on individual skills and fitness. Clean equipment will be provided for each session but you are welcome to bring your own netball if you prefer.
We want you to feel safe so only attend if you feel ready to. Fiona has completed a Covid-19 risk assessment which has been emailed out to all members and is also available on GroupSpaces. Please have a read of this before you come along and feel reassured that as a committee we want help keep you safe.
If you are a Hawks Netball Club Member and would like to join a session please drop an email to Becky firstname.lastname@example.org. Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come first serve basis.
Fingers crossed it will not be too long before we are back on the courts and welcoming Newcomers again! If you have any questions in the meantime or would like to enquire about joining the club please get in touch email@example.com.
We are looking forward to seeing the Hawks ladies back in action.
Good luck to all our Hawks out on the courts this weekend. We have all 3 teams out for matches, lets hope they carry on the success of 2019 with some fantastic results to kickstart 2020!
Training starts back Wednesday 8th January for all @ St Ives Outdoor. Newcomers are welcome so if you have a new years resolution to go from couch to courts or are just looking to be more active and meet some new like minded ladies then get in touch to arrange your taster sessions: http://www.hawksnetball.co.uk/newcomers/
Hawks 2 started the weekend well with a fantastic 36-31 win over Ely 1. Congratulations to POM Sam Hastings (WD). Hawks 3 missed out on a win by the smallest of margins losing 27-28 to Cojags 5. Congratulations to POM Emma-Jane Buck (C) and to the team the bonus point. Hawks 1’s bad luck continues with a loss to Cherries and another injury for the team. Wishing them lots of good luck against Rookies on 10th.
Second win of the week! Absolutely fantastic result for the team playing against a squad just down from div 1 in some very tricky conditions, on a very wet and slippy Astro court with a new line up. Well done ladies 🦅💜
City of Ely Netball Club will be hosting a tournament in aid of Children in Need during half term. Hawks will be entering a team and are looking forward to having a fab evening of netball while raising money for a worthwhile cause.
The team will be a mix of Hawks 2 and Hawks 3 players who, following on from their CDNL Summer League successes are looking to place well against teams from across the Cambridge, Bedfordshire and Newmarket Leagues while still having fun along the way.
If you would like to donate to Children in Need through Hawks netball club please get in touch with our Club Secretary (firstname.lastname@example.org).
